OTC has recently joined the Netherlands-African Business Council (NABC). By becoming a member OTC endorses the latter’s believe that the Dutch private sector has a prominent role to play in the sustainable development of the African continent. Established in 1946, NABC has grown to an organization with over 300 Dutch companies ranging from large multinationals to small and medium sized companies and start-ups. It promotes commerce in Africa by providing Dutch companies with the tools they need to succeed in the various regions and markets across the continent.
Events and trade missions
Through the multiple events and trade missions throughout the year, OTC aims to seize valuable networking opportunities that solidify new B2B and B2G relationships. We already joined several events, including the network meeting Francophone Africa Business Forum in the Netherlands: a network meeting where more than one hundred delegates from French-speaking Africa took part. In this third edition of the forum the focus was on water, energy and logistics.
In December we exhibited with a booth at the ‘Holland in Ghana’ pavilion at the ‘West Africa Agrofood’ trade fair in Ghana where our Supply Development Manager Núria Vlonk-Cunha Soares met various suppliers. She also took part of several field visits on location which were organized by NABC in collaboration with the German Development Organization GIZ.
